So, if you don’t get how my blog works yet, then this is perhaps as good a way as any to show you how it does work. It’s one way of showing you at least. I mean, we all know I basically just chat shit on here. That’s pretty much why it’s an easy read. So, if you haven’t already, grab a cuppa.
But even though I chat shit, there is a formula to this blog, because that’s how I keep my shit together, AND well when you really start dissecting it, it’s just one way of explaining how life works anyway. If you can be bothered to take the time to look, you’ll see that life is, in part, already structured like this. I’m just highlighting it.
There’s always a formula or system to most things; whether you realise it or not, or want to admit it or not. It’s all just some form of patterns and systems. Once you’ve seen them, you can’t really un-see them. There are ‘tricks of the trade’ all over the shop. On pretty much how everything works. But I like to focus on the mind and how that works. I like to focus on the mind and how to use it. Because that as far as I’m concerned is the Rubik’s that rules them all.
So...I say rice and...you say...
PEAS! (Obviously)
Rice and...PEAS! Rice and PEAS!!!
If you are lost on that, then nay bother, it’s just a thing. Stay with me.
But if I say...Sauage Rolls...you say?
Yummy?
Greggs?
A delicious pastry based snack?
No thanks, I’m vegetarian?
Butchers?
Pork Pie?
How about...LadBaby?
If you don’t think LadBaby...then...the question has to be asked. Why not?
I guess maybe you are just detached in that way from what’s going on around you. So, it couldn’t possibly be on your radar because you aren’t even on that part of the radar yourself; maybe you never have been. I mean, I question how it’s not on your radar, because, you are on the internet. This is pretty much current affairs, mate. Or you’re on the radar but you are so wrapped up in everything else you’ve got going on that you’ve never even noticed or heard of LadBaby. If you know of but don’t care about LadBaby, meh, I don’t really care - the point is they are on your radar.
If it’s the first one, fair enough I get it. You’ve had enough of the bullshit. Get of the grid for a bit, give yourself some space and crack on.
But if you are on the radar though, and just so we are clear, I’m going to call ‘being on the radar’, ‘being culturally active’, then how in the fuck do you not know who LadBaby is?
And if you don’t like them...well...what’s with the hate?
They just went to Christmas number one. For the second year in a row. Then gave the proceeds to a food bank charity. Back to back UK Christmas Number ones is something that hasn’t been done for twenty years. For the record, it was the Spice Girls who were last to do it.
Plus, they are singing about sausage rolls! What’s not to love?
Now if you know me, you’ll know I don’t really give a toss about the charts. But frustratingly at the same time I clearly do give a toss about the charts. From a linguistic perspective, in recent months I’ve decided that I’m not really about saying ‘I don’t care’. I’m about saying ‘I care not’. It makes more sense to me. Like, it’s there, I respect it, but it doesn’t really bother me. Now if you can’t get your head around that, then you’ll never get me. They both clearly share the same sentiment, but it’s how they share it that’s important. (So they do actually have slightly different sentiments). So, I care not about the charts.
Anyway, the charts, like the box office, are basically a concept that was exploited by some marketing executive to help sell records, concert and cinemas tickets. The reality is they don’t really mean much more than, ‘this is what everyone has been doing this week’. But it’s still a good measure of what is actually going on in the country.
LadBaby is banging. My worry is that the reality I see of what is actually going on, based on what they have achieved, is they had to help raise money for food banks to help people out, because the country has been run like a piece of shit for so long.
Hopefully people follow their example and get stuck in and help other people out more.
That‘s what it’s all about.
