Yep, I’ve been busy making another project. But this time I’ve knocked it out in literally a few days.

I’m not even quite sure how the idea came to me, it just did. Like a lot of ideas; it consumes you before you can even begin to actually acknowledge how it manifested itself in the first place.

The project is called JAWS i.e. Job and Work Search - www.jobandworksearch.com

Clearly, I’m still playing with my love of creativity and mnemonics. I think it’s a pretty catchy name; even if some people might be a bit put off by it. After all,

“You can’t please everybody.”

I always think that sentence needs extending to,

”You can’t please everybody...straightaway.”

Because I think you can change and talk people around overtime.

Anyway, the truth is, I’m trying to make a website where I can generate enough traffic and user flow to be able to monetise it eventually.

‘Hang on a second Chris, you are doing this to make money?!?!?! Hmmmmm, I don’t know about that, I’m out.’

I know some people will be thinking that. Because money has that effect on people.

But not being funny, I’m not going to make a living and survive on fresh air am I? And, part of my bag is about being open and honest with people about what I‘m doing. Because, that’s how I like to roll. If you still don’t like what I’m doing then...

“That kind of sounds like a you problem.”

My intention is always to try and find a way to be symbiotic. If this works it benefits me, but also potentially a bunch of other people who will find the motivation and drive to find something new.

You’ve just got to help people create the opportunity and give them a chance.

Anyway, I’ve been unemployed, I’ve been self-employed, and I’ve been employed. And for me personally, each one of those ‘-ployeds’ at various points has sucked!! They’ve all had great at points too; yes even the unemployed bit. But they’ve all most definitely sucked at points! All in all, work can tend to S is for...Suck for a lot of us. But for some reason people just stay in the same job and stop pushing themselves.

Anyway, JAWS is simply an easy to use portal. Where anyone can go to have a browse for a new job.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, you COULD just go to each job site individually and have a mission around. And in a way you still have to do that. But I’ve just put all these sites in the same place so people can find them easily. You can easily forget what is on offer out there and where you can go. Now, you don’t have to.

Not only that, some employers don’t use job sites, so you have to apply directly through their website and services. I’ve put a few of those employers on their already, but that database will just continue to grow and grow.

As well as that, I’ll do what I can to chat and share knowledge and information about employment and unemployment in general.

Why? Because I can, and because not everyone else is going to share that information with anyone. The world doesn’t have to be dog eat dog all the time. It isn’t sink or swim. People just need a little bit of help and support to get themselves together.

So there you have it. Now you know what I’m doing.

The question is, are you happy in your job?

And if you aren’t, what are you doing about it?

Is it time for S is for...Something new?
