S is for...Sense, Common

Common Sense. Yeah it is a 'thing', but those that know me will know that I say “I don’t believe it in, because it isn’t really a thing, is it?”
And what I mean by that is, ‘common sense’ is either learnt(therefore clearly not common), otherwise it just a natural biological response to things in others. But even in that respect it might not be common because we would be basing that school of thought on the idea that everyone operates identically the same biologically. But we know that everyone doesn’t(therefore clearly not common).
So to surmise, we can say, with some confidence, that common sense is absolute fucking bollocks.
That’s about it really. Just wanted to share that little genius nugget of mine with you.
Common sense can only ever be cultivated. It isn’t inherent. It isn't intrinsic. You aren't born with it. It is something that has to be structured and established. If someone isn't helping you do that, then all I can say is, good luck.
Why is this ‘something’ important?
Well, it’s common sense isn’t it?
Who doesn’t love a good quote?
“Common sense is the knack of seeing things as they are, and doing things as they ought to be done.” - Josh Billings
